1. What is Functional Elements? 

Functional Elements Training & Nutrition is a private training facility located in Creve Coeur, MO. We offer personal, one-on-one program design and training programs as well as small group training sessions we call Micro Group Training. Our training team of coaches are both university degreed and certified. We want to be your personal wellness coach, and we believe we have the expertise, experience and education to make a difference. 

2. What makes Functional Elements different? 

Three things separate Functional Elements Training & Nutrition from other personal training options: 

i) We TRAIN FOR LIFE, meaning we address a client's individualized goals (weight loss, strength, toning, fat loss, skeletal muscle mass, etc) with highly personalized program design that is filtered through an overall objective of mobility and movement. (Balance, mobility, stability)

ii) Our COMPREHENSIVE APPROACH. Results require a three-pronged approach of training, nutrition and recovery. With a registered/licensed dietitian on staff, we offer clients the opportunity to strategically pair their training/goals with the right food approach, with a special focus on recovery and the importance of what is also happening BETWEEN workouts. 

iii) The FE COMRADERIE. We carefully crafted Functional Elements into a place where the camaraderie between trainer and clients is like family. A place where we can work hard and still have fun. And a place where there is no judgement - just a strategic game plan to keep improving, one step at a time.

3. I’m new to exercise - is this program right for me? 

Absolutely. We meet you where you are at in your fitness journey and guide you with a personalized approach that fits your experience level, lifestyle, and goals. 4. Will I need to follow a strict diet or meal plan?

No. Our nutrition coaching (through our in-house registered/licensed dietitian) focuses on simple, sustainable changes that fit your life. Instead of rigid rules, we help you build better habits around food, so you can see results without feeling restricted.

6. What type of clients do you work with?

We specialize in helping adults in the approx. age range of 35–70+, who want to lose weight, gain strength, improve mobility, feel more confident in their bodies, and lead a more active life. Our clients include busy professionals, stay-at-home parents, retirees, and anyone looking for sustainable health and fitness solutions. Clients can work with us in either a one-on-one or micro group setting, or a combination of both.

7. What is the 14-Day 360°?

The Functional Elements 14-Day 360° is the entry point for all new Functional Elements’ clients. It features a power-packed agenda of deliverables over a 14-day period, ranging from a full InBody scan and training/nutrition strategy sessions to multiple one-on-one personal training sessions and access to our micro group training. Priced at a steal of just $169, it is a simple, affordable way to check out the Functional Elements’ difference and receive a ton of insight, expertise and value while doing it.

8. Do I need to be there for all 14 days of Functional Elements 14-Day 360°? 

The Functional Elements 14-Day 360• is a comprehensive assessment & training kickstart that all new clients go through at Functional Elements, whether they continue to train with us or on their own. It includes a collection of strategy sessions for training and nutrition, one-on-one personal training sessions, and access to unlimited Micro Group Training sessions, plus support throughout. 

While elements of the 14-Day 360• are scheduled across this 14-day period, sessions are NOT daily and participants ARE NOT required to be at Functional Elements each day. 

9. What happens after the 14-Day 360°?

All new clients to Functional Elements participate in the initial 14-Day 360• kickstart. It is an opportunity for them to experience the very best of Functional Elements, while our coaches ample opportunity to help assess and provide insights on strengths, opportunities and recommendations moving forward for maximum results. 

There is no obligation to continue with Functional Elements following completion of the 14-Day 360•. Clients can choose to: 

  • Continue training with a coach at Functional Elements on a one-on-one, personal training basis

  • Continue training at Functional Elements in our Micro Group Training program

  • Continue training at Functional Elements on a hybrid basis split between one-on-one training and Micro Group Training

  • Train with Functional Elements on an as-needed basis

  • Train on their own at home or at their local gym

10. How do I get started with Functional Elements?

The no-obligation, 14-Day 360° is the starting point for all new clients at Functional Elements. Within these initial 14 days new clients can assess if Functional Elements is the right fit for them, while participating in valuable assessment, strategy, one-on-one personal training, and micro group training with a Functional Elements coach.
